Hotel receptions scented with lemongrass, farm houses painted ornately, chortens large and small traversed clockwise, colorful prayer flags and water wheels, chilli, red rice and momos, zhongs in prime positions with monks in red and orange on mobiles, views of mountains with large fertile valleys, laughter and smiles ... This was Bhutan and AJtB for me.

Today I had an awesome walk down a mountain pass to Ura and had an amazing conversation with Chimi about his Buddhist beliefs. Wow... light bulb moment.

What a joy to spend time in this special place. Loved it!

I feel so privileged to be in this beautiful country - its a rare and eye opening experience. We have tried traditional feed and witnessed daily life . None of us will forget this.

The Festival was unbelievable! Everyone dressed in their traditional outfit to come and be blessed. Everyone is so polite, courteous and friendly. No pushing or shuffling. Amazing people, amazing country! Glad I finally made this trip - one I will cherish forever

You just cannot help loving the people and the place. Bhutan is a unique culture which seems to have retained so much of what our own cultures have lost. I loved Bhutan!

I have been pondering what I would change knowing what I know now - I would stay at least 1-2 days in the Haa Valley. There are hikes, especially along the river, I wished I'd had time for. And I sure would have spent more evenings in the hot stone baths!

The absolute highlight today was interacting with the little kids on their way to school. We finished the day with a gorgeous sing song around the fire to celebrate a birthday

Hard to prioritize what I liked best as it was all so special, but I loved the walks...especially the nature trail and Tiger's Nest.

Just returned from a terrific trip to Bhutan carefully coordinated by AJTB. A sum of many parts, the journey captured the sights sounds, colors and flavors of Bhutan midst sun, snow and showers. This trip exceeded expectations. If you wish to embrace Bhutan, give AJTB a try. You will not be disappointed.

The nunnery we visited one afternoon, in dreadful weather with lightening crashing all around us, was highly memorable to me. 

The itinerary was cleverly put together finishing on an absolute high note with the festival and the hike to the Tiger's Nest.

A deep hearted thank you for your support to each and every one of us – this was such a special two weeks.

Thank you for hosting such an amazing tour. The opportunity to come to this very special country with such special people will stay with me for life. I will take my good heart with me when I go.

I loved Payza. His sense of humor, humanity and integrity was always present. He was the consummate guide. He not only embraced our zillions of questions from bird and plant ID to politics, religion, architecture and art ,but he did so with cheer. He always delivered. When we asked about or needed something, he always had the answers or solution and if he promised to take care of it, it was always done by the next day.

This was a GREAT trip. Payza, Julia and our driver Changala did a fantastic job. Their patience and dedication to providing a great atmosphere and experience for all of us in the group was wonderful. Hope to see you all again soon!
